How to play: click START, then press the SPACE key on your keyboard as fast as you can. The timer starts with your first press. A physical keyboard is needed: taps on the screen are not counted.

This free 15 second spacebar test is the longest spacebar challenge on Click Tester. It counts how many times you can press the SPACE key in fifteen seconds and shows your presses, your presses per second and an animal rank. Over fifteen seconds, stamina and a steady rhythm matter as much as raw speed.

The timer starts with your first press, so your reaction to the start button is not included.

How the 15 second spacebar test works

  1. Click START SPACE BAR TEST.
  2. Press SPACE. Your first press starts the fifteen second timer.
  3. Keep pressing as fast as you can until the time is up.
  4. Check your presses, presses per second and rank.

Each press counts when you release the key, so holding SPACE does not help. A physical keyboard is needed, because taps on the screen are not counted.

What a 15 second test tells you

Fifteen seconds of maximum pressing is surprisingly tiring. Your presses per second here will usually be lower than in the short tests, and the difference shows your endurance. Compare your 15 second result with your 2 second result: the closer they are, the better your stamina.

To reach the top rank, Cheetah, you need more than 9 presses per second, which means more than 135 presses in fifteen seconds.

Tips for a long spacebar test

  • Choose a sustainable pace. Aim for a steady rhythm rather than a fast start.
  • Use two fingers or both thumbs. Alternating lets each finger rest a little between presses.
  • Stay loose. Tension in your hand and forearm builds up quickly and slows you down.
  • Keep the keyboard steady. Make sure it does not slide while you press.
  • Rest between tries. Give your hand a short break before the next attempt.
