The Manual Mouse Click Test is an online tool that measures your clicking speed in clicks per second (CPS). You simply click by hand as fast as you can, with no tools or tricks. Gamers and anyone who needs to click quickly at a computer use it to train their speed and dexterity. Here is how it works and how to make the most of it.
The Manual CPS Test counts how many times you click the mouse in a set time. This test lasts 5 seconds. It shows how fast and consistent your fingers are, which matters for gamers and for working quickly at a computer.
It is simple:
Position your mouse: move the cursor over the click area above and get your hand comfortable.
Start clicking: press start and click as fast as you can for 5 seconds. Try to keep a steady rhythm.
Check your result: when the time is up you see your clicks, your CPS and your rank.
Try other durations: for longer or shorter tests, use the links below.
Practise regularly: set aside a little time every day or week to practise and track your progress.

A manual click test measures your clicking with a normal grip and one finger: no jitter, butterfly or drag clicking techniques, and no autoclickers or macros. It shows your natural clicking speed, which is a fair baseline to improve from.
Press Start Test and click as fast as you can with one finger for 5 seconds. The test counts every click inside the click area and divides the total by 5 to give your clicks per second.
Butterfly clicking uses two fingers, and drag clicking uses friction to register many clicks in one movement. Both give higher numbers, but they do not show how fast you click normally, which is what matters for most games and everyday use.
When the timer runs out, the test divides your total clicks by the length of the test to give your clicks per second (CPS), then awards one of nine animal ranks:
| Rank | CPS |
|---|---|
| Sloth | 0 – 3.5 |
| Turtle | 3.6 – 5.5 |
| Panda | 5.6 – 6.6 |
| Mouse | 6.7 – 6.9 |
| Buffalo | 7.0 – 7.5 |
| Rabbit | 7.6 – 8.0 |
| Wolf | 8.1 – 8.5 |
| Tiger | 8.6 – 9.0 |
| Cheetah | 9.1+ |
The timer starts when you press Start, and only clicks inside the click area count. You can also take the test with a keyboard: press Enter or Space on the click area. Your last five results are saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
