Aim Trainer
How to play: press Start, then click or tap each target as fast as you can. You have 30 seconds, and every click that misses the target lowers your accuracy.
This free aim trainer tests how quickly and accurately you can move your mouse onto a target and click it. Targets appear one at a time in random positions, and you have 30 seconds to hit as many as possible. At the end you get your hits, your accuracy and your average time per target.
It runs in your browser with no download, and it works with a mouse, a trackpad or a touchscreen. Your best score is saved on your device so you can see yourself improve from session to session.
How the aim trainer works
- Press Start. The first target appears straight away.
- Click or tap the centre of the target. A new one appears somewhere else.
- Keep going for 30 seconds. The timer is shown at the top.
- Clicks that miss the target count as misses and reduce your accuracy.
- When time is up you see your hits, accuracy and average milliseconds per target.
What the numbers mean
- Hits: how many targets you clicked in 30 seconds. This is your main score.
- Accuracy: hits divided by all your clicks. Missed clicks pull it down.
- Average ms: the average time from a target appearing to you hitting it. Lower is better.
- Best hits: your highest score on this device.
What is a good aim trainer score?
Scores depend heavily on your mouse, your sensitivity and your screen size, so the best comparison is always against your own previous results. As a guide, focus on keeping your accuracy high while your hit count climbs. A score with 90% or better accuracy shows controlled aim, while a high hit count with low accuracy usually means you are clicking before you are on target.
How to improve your aim
- Find a comfortable sensitivity. If you keep overshooting targets, lower your mouse sensitivity or DPI. If you struggle to reach the edges, raise it slightly.
- Aim with your arm and wrist together. Use your arm for large movements across the screen and your wrist for the final small adjustment.
- Accuracy before speed. Slow down until you almost never miss, then gradually speed up.
- Keep your eyes ahead of the crosshair. Look at the new target first and let your hand follow.
- Use a mouse pad with enough space. Running out of room mid-flick ruins both speed and accuracy.
- Stay relaxed. A tight grip makes small corrections harder.
If you are not sure which grip or sensitivity suits you, check your raw reflexes with the Reaction Time Test and your clicking speed with the CPS test. The Mouse Test is useful for checking that every mouse button registers properly.
Aim training for games
Good aim is a core skill in shooters and in PvP games like Minecraft. Flicking onto a target quickly, stopping precisely and clicking at the right moment all improve with deliberate practice. Short, focused sessions of a few rounds are more effective than long sessions where you get tired and sloppy.
Many players combine aim practice with click speed training. After a few rounds here, try the Jitter click test or the Butterfly click test to work on clicking technique as well.
Frequently asked questions
Does mouse DPI affect my score?
DPI and in-game sensitivity together decide how far the cursor moves for each movement of your hand. There is no single best value. Pick one that lets you reach any target without overshooting, then keep it the same so your scores stay comparable.
Can I use the aim trainer on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Tap the targets with your finger. Touch scores are not directly comparable with mouse scores, so track them separately.
Why does the average time per target matter?
Your hit count tells you how many targets you cleared, while the average time shows how quickly you acquire each one. Watching it drop over several sessions is a good sign your aim is getting faster.
Why did my click not count as a hit?
The hit area is the round target itself. If you click just outside its edge, it counts as a miss. Try to aim for the centre dot.
Is my score saved?
Your best hit count is saved in your browser on this device only. Nothing is uploaded.
