How to play: click START, then press the SPACE key on your keyboard as fast as you can. The timer starts with your first press. A physical keyboard is needed: taps on the screen are not counted.

This free 120 second spacebar test is the longest spacebar challenge on Click Tester: two full minutes of pressing the SPACE key as fast as you can. It is a test of stamina and rhythm more than raw speed.

At the end you see your total presses, your presses per second and an animal rank. The timer starts with your first press.

How the 120 second spacebar test works

  1. Click START SPACE BAR TEST.
  2. Press SPACE. Your first press starts the two minute timer.
  3. Keep pressing as fast as you can until the time is up.
  4. Check your total presses, your presses per second and your rank.

Each press counts when you release the key, so holding SPACE down counts as one press. A physical keyboard is needed, because taps on the screen are not counted.

What is a good score in 2 minutes?

Your rank is based on presses per second, which is your total divided by 120:

  • 600 presses is 5 presses per second, the Turtle rank.
  • 840 presses is 7 presses per second, the Buffalo rank.
  • 1086 presses or more is over 9 presses per second, the Cheetah rank.

Holding a high speed for two minutes is very hard. If your 120 second result is close to your 10 second result, your stamina is excellent.

Tips for a two minute test

  • Plan your pace. Aim for a steady rhythm you can keep for two minutes.
  • Alternate fingers or thumbs. Sharing the work is the key to long tests.
  • Press lightly. The key only needs to go down far enough to register.
  • Keep your posture. Sit upright with your wrist supported.
  • Listen to your hand. Stop and rest if you feel pain or strain.
