CS2 eDPI Calculator

How to use it: enter your mouse DPI and your CS2 sensitivity. You get your eDPI, your 360 distance and the matching sensitivity for Valorant and Apex Legends.

This free CS2 eDPI calculator combines your mouse DPI and Counter-Strike 2 sensitivity into one number, your eDPI. It also shows your 360 distance and converts your aim to Valorant and Apex Legends, so you can switch games without starting again.

How CS2 eDPI is calculated

In CS2, eDPI is your DPI multiplied by your sensitivity:

CS2 eDPI = DPI x sensitivity

For example, 800 DPI with a sensitivity of 1.25 gives an eDPI of 1000. CS2 uses the classic Source rotation of 0.022 degrees per mouse count at sensitivity 1 (m_yaw 0.022), so 1000 eDPI means a 360 distance of about 41.6 cm.

Where to find your CS2 sensitivity

  1. Open CS2 and go to Settings.
  2. Open Keyboard / Mouse and find Mouse Sensitivity.
  3. You can also type sensitivity in the developer console to see the exact value.
  4. Your mouse DPI is set in your mouse software. If you are not sure of the real value, measure it with our Mouse DPI Analyzer.

If you played CS:GO, your old sensitivity carries over unchanged, because CS2 uses the same rotation value.

Converting CS2 sensitivity to Valorant

CS2 turns less per count than Valorant, so the numbers look very different for the same feel:

  • CS2 to Valorant: divide your CS2 sensitivity by 3.18. A CS2 sensitivity of 1.25 becomes about 0.393 in Valorant.
  • Valorant to CS2: multiply your Valorant sensitivity by 3.18.
  • CS2 to Apex Legends: the value stays the same, because Apex uses the same rotation.

The calculator shows these converted values in the Same feel in other games list.

Choosing a CS2 sensitivity

Many CS2 players use a fairly low sensitivity for steady crosshair placement and controlled spray, and turn with larger arm movements. A practical starting point is a setting where one smooth sweep across your mouse pad turns you a full circle. Change it in small steps of about 10 percent and practise with the Aim Trainer before deciding.

For other games, use the general eDPI Calculator or the Valorant eDPI Calculator.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good eDPI for CS2?

There is no single right value. Choose the setting that lets you hold angles precisely and still turn quickly enough, and use the 360 distance to compare options.

Does zoom sensitivity change eDPI?

No. The zoom sensitivity ratio only changes your sensitivity while scoped. eDPI uses your normal sensitivity.

Does Windows pointer speed affect CS2?

CS2 uses raw mouse input, so Windows pointer speed does not change your in-game aim.
