Call of Duty eDPI Calculator

How to use it: enter your mouse DPI and your Call of Duty mouse sensitivity. Your eDPI appears instantly and is saved on this device.

This free Call of Duty eDPI calculator works out your effective DPI from your mouse DPI and your in-game mouse sensitivity. eDPI lets you compare setups with other Call of Duty players, copy a setting you like, and keep your aim the same when you change mouse or DPI.

Everything runs in your browser and your last values are saved on this device.

How Call of Duty eDPI is calculated

In Call of Duty, eDPI is your DPI multiplied by your mouse sensitivity:

Call of Duty eDPI = DPI x mouse sensitivity

For example, 800 DPI with a mouse sensitivity of 5 gives an eDPI of 4000. If you play at 1600 DPI with a sensitivity of 2.5, your eDPI is also 4000, so both setups turn the same amount for the same hand movement.

Where to find your Call of Duty sensitivity

  1. Open the game and go to Settings.
  2. Open the mouse or keyboard and mouse settings.
  3. Find Mouse Sensitivity and note the value.
  4. Your mouse DPI is set in your mouse software. If you are not sure of the real value, measure it with our Mouse DPI Analyzer.

ADS and zoom sensitivity settings only change your aim while aiming down sights. They do not change your base eDPI.

Why there is no 360 distance or conversion

Different Call of Duty titles have used different sensitivity scales and settings over the years, so the same number can feel different from one game to the next. To avoid giving you a misleading figure, this calculator shows Call of Duty eDPI only and does not convert it to other games. Compare your eDPI with players of the same Call of Duty title.

If you want to keep the same feel after changing DPI, keep your eDPI the same: double your DPI and halve your sensitivity, or the other way round.

Choosing a Call of Duty sensitivity

Call of Duty has fast time to kill and quick movement, so you need to react and turn quickly while still landing precise shots. A good test is whether you can turn around fast enough to deal with someone behind you and still hold your aim steady at range. Change your sensitivity in small steps and practise with the Aim Trainer.

For other games, use the general eDPI Calculator, the Overwatch 2 eDPI Calculator or the Mouse Sensitivity Converter.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good eDPI for Call of Duty?

There is no single right value. Choose a setting that lets you turn quickly and still aim precisely, and compare with players of the same title.

How do I keep my aim the same after changing DPI?

Keep your eDPI the same. For example, going from 800 to 1600 DPI, halve your mouse sensitivity.

Do ADS settings change eDPI?

No. They only change your sensitivity while aiming down sights. eDPI uses your normal mouse sensitivity.
